25º Brix Restaurant & Gardens

NAPA, Calif.— 25º Brix Restaurant & Gardens, located in the lush Oakville vineyards along Napa Valley’s Highway 29, has opened with a new focus on farm-to-table dining. 25º Brix is an entirely new incarnation of the wine country classic, Brix, and transforms the original facility into a contemporary new restaurant designed to take full advantage of its 16 prime Napa Valley acres.

Owned by the Kelleher family, 25º Brix takes the farm-to-table ideal to a new level, growing its own fresh produce and its own wine in the vineyards surrounding the restaurant. The new name reflects the sugar level at which the grapes for Kelleher Family Vineyard’s Cabernet Sauvignon are harvested.

With the vision of well-known Bay Area restaurateur David Gingrass, designer JeAnne Ettrick has created an interior which calls to mind a modern, urban farmhouse, with a mix of rich Provençal fabrics, cool marble and stone, reclaimed wine barrels and antique pieces. The restaurant’s wine list and wine shop have also been refined to reflect the new direction, including hard to find small local bottlings.

25º Brix is located at 7377 St. Helena Highway in Napa, just north of Yountville. The new restaurant includes a 70-seat interior dining room, a 30-seat bar and lounge, and the 60-seat out door patio, with plans underway for a separate smaller outdoor dining area directly in the vineyards. The restaurant also has three private dining rooms, which accommodate up to 60 guests.

Cuisine:

New gardens and orchards have been planted to provide seasonal fruits and vegetables for the restaurant’s daily-changing menu. New Executive Chef Carlos Cañada and Executive Pastry Chef Andrea Mautner have created a menu inspired by the garden and the culinary traditions of the winegrowing regions in Southern France and Northern Italy. General Manager and Wine Director Jeff Creamer oversees the restaurant’s dining room and extensive wine selections.

Seasonal selections from Chef Carlos Cañada’s menu include local Dungeness Crab Salad with Orange and Avocado Mousse, and Steamed Alaskan Halibut with a Spring Vegetable Ragout and Lemon Butter. Whether dining inside or out on a pergola-shaded patio, patrons are treated to sweeping views of the gardens, vineyards, orchard and Mayacamas Mountains in the distance.

The restaurant serves lunch, dinner and brunch on the weekends during the following hours:

  • Monday - Thursday 11:30 am - 9:00 pm
  • Friday 11:30 am – 10:00 pm
  • Saturday 10:00 am – 10:00 pm
  • Sunday 10:00 am – 9:00 pm.

Here at 25º Brix not only are we able to offer guests the quintessential Napa experience through our garden scenery and California seasonal dishes, we are also fortunate to have a retail store located in the restaurant that provides guests with the opportunity to take a piece of Napa home with them.

In our store we highlight many unique items from California artists, as well as a fine sections of ceramics, linens, and other house wares. We also have an extensive wine cellar that features many of the wines found on our award wining wine list.
