Financial District

Ranked as one of the top four financial centers in the nation, San Francisco’s Financial District begins at Montgomery Street and extends east toward the Embarcadero and Embarcadero Center where you can find eight blocks of shops and restaurants.
The Bank of America building at 555 California street was the tallest building west of the Mississippi River from 1969-1972 until it was surpassed by the Transamerica Pyramid.
A 17th floor roof top park at 343 Sansome Street has great views of other Financial District highrises including the Transamerica Pyramid.
If you don’t work in a highrise building, or if you spend your days several floors up but don’t have an office with a view, you’ll want to visit this park. The view east from this rooftop park is one of the favorites of all the panoramas in San Francisco.
This is San Francisco's main business region and is home many of the city's major corporations. An impressive mix of old and new businesses are currently flourishing in this popular business district in San Francisco.
